The Gold Arse Cat Booby is one of the most popular Boobies on Scottish lochs and English reservoirs, and a go-to for many top competition anglers. The gold straggle butt adds a flash of warmth, the chartreuse Krystal hackle body gives a hot spot fish can't ignore, and the premium white marabou wing and tail breathe on even the slowest retrieve.
Smooth, evenly cut foam eyes make it a versatile fly that can be fished on anything from a floating line right down to a fast sinker, holding it high in the water or just off the bottom. Fish it on the point and vary the retrieve from slow figure-of-eight to fast strips. It's proven on Lake of Menteith, Rutland Water, Llyn Brenig and Grafham Water.
