The Friendly Tube was invented on Rutland Water by Paul Friend. Its unique shaped foam back gives the fly a wiggling movement and stops it snagging in weed or on the bottom when fished deep. It's absolutely lethal on the Midlands reservoirs and has the Midas touch for catching both huge browns and rainbows. This is "thee" fly for fishing from September through to early winter on the Midlands reservoirs.
