The Super Ally Mc Coist is a beefed-up lure version of the popular Ally McCoist pattern, and a hugely popular choice on smallwaters, especially here in Scotland, where it's almost a go-to fly for many anglers. A jet black marabou tail laced with blue flash gives plenty of movement and a dark, easy-to-see silhouette, while the UV olive blob fritz body glows with every pull. A fluorescent orange bead adds weight and a hot spot up front. Fish it on a floating or intermediate line with a steady figure-of-eight or short, sharp pulls.
